FREEDOM

My niece is an only child and because of that her achievements are never compared or held as a standard for other siblings. I know she would be honest enough to say that there were times when she wished there had been that rivalry so her growth and maturity would have been more visible to those she loves the most. But don't get me wrong, she would also be the first to admit that being an only child had its perks. Remember in the movie, How to Train Your Dragon 2, when Hiccup's mother touched Toothless and two sets of wings appeared? There was one pair of wings on his back and two smaller wings near the base of his tail. I remember how cool that was. Hiccup's mother knew they were there all along. My niece has wings as well and I have seen them. When I see her in action, I think to myself, "That's my niece!" I am so proud of her. She is an amazing adult daughter, a true friend, a team player,  a fantastic trainer, and a tremendous coach! I couldn't think of a better way of honoring her this Christmas than by giving her the Freedom Honor Emblem Bracelet! Erica, you have turned the spotlight off of yourself and shine it on others for them to succeed! You have gained new strength in ways you never thought possible! Merry Christmas, Erica!
